About Us
Shawn Joesph
Starting his gardening journey at the young age of 7 Shawn developed his love and passion for all things plants very early. Over the years he sharpened his skills growing a variety of plants in many different ways and learned how they interact with each other and the surrounding environment. This curiosity of plant propagation continued as he pursued and attained his degree in horticulture at naugatuck valley community college. As a horticulturist Shawn currently spends his days farming and volunteering his time to help others learn the ways of organic gardening and providing healthy options all while gaining patience and appreciation for the natural world we live in.
Richard Myers
Being born on an island where everyone is dependent on nature, Richard fell in love with plants at a young age. He was able to understand the importance of having ones own crops, whether it was to feed the family, donate, or vend. Seeking an education that would match his love for plants led him towards Horticulture (The art and science of plants) and he hasn't turned back since.
Park City Harvest Llc
Park City Harvest was established in 2017. Noticing that we were the ONLY two black people in the program we've been dedicated to changing the image of farming within urban communities while feeding and educating the communities that we serve. Our mission is to empower, and equip urban youth about the impact that food has on our health, community, and the environment. We at PCH firmly believes that we can transform our communities one plant, one bite, and one voice at a time. While Farming for Financial Freedom.
